Job Description
The Web organization delivers compelling experiences via browser to millions of businesses using Square today, and millions more considering it. Managing a business and selling online can be complex, and we've committed to handling that complexity on behalf of our sellers, to give time back.
You Will
We are looking for a web-focused engineer to join the Pricing & Reporting Web team. This team owns a variety of experiences that empower sellers with insights to grow their business, manage their pricing rules and discounts, and administer their fleet of remote devices.
The team is front-end web focused, and includes a healthy balance of senior and junior engineers. As an engineer on the team, you will contribute to both product and engineering-driven initiatives, including our ongoing migration to React.
You Have

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years FE web focused
  • Extensive experience working in React
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborated with product managers and designers to co-define and develop exceptional products
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience and/or interest working in a team with a healthy balance of platform and product ownership
  • Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to grow continuously as an engineer and mentor others


Bonus:

  • You have contributed toward a successful migration from a older FE framework to a new one
  • Experience in both React and Ember
  • Experience working in the commerce space
