Job Description:

Role Overview – The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end software development process, spanning from the discovery phase all the way to implementation. Our new digital platform, TD Business Central (TDBC), is designed to serve small business and commercial customers, providing them with the tools they need to manage their day-to-day activities. This includes a range of functionalities such as account management, payments (including wires, EFT, and bill payments), reporting, and file transfers. The platform will provide a new more modern digital experience to our customers and will replace the legacy Web Business Banking platform. The individual will combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative customer journeys across the digital banking ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own solution design and technical decision‑making across complex digital banking journeys.

  • Lead architecture and design reviews to ensure scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Remain hands‑on with code, design artifacts, and technical problem‑solving as required.

  • Drive delivery execution including estimation, sequencing, and management of technical dependencies.

  • Guide teams on full‑stack engineering practices across front end, APIs, and cloud integrations.

  • Champion AI usage across the SDLC, including development, testing, defect analysis, and productivity tooling.

  • Embed strong testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices into solution designs.

  • Partner closely with Engineering Managers, Enterprise Architecture, and Cybersecurity teams.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience

  • Deep full‑stack engineering experience (Angular, Java APIs/microservices, event streaming, batch processing, cloud platforms).

  • Proven ownership of end‑to‑end solution design for large‑scale digital banking platforms.

  • Experience operating as a senior individual contributor with delivery accountability.

  • Strong understanding of secure, scalable, and resilient system design.

  • Hands‑on experience applying AI tools across development and testing workflows.

  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, global team

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in both technical and business domains

Technology Stack: Java 17+ / JEE, Spring Boot, Tomcat, shell scripting , Angular, Kafka, Azure SQL
