Meet The Team
Benefits developers use agile methods to deliver high-quality features for the Benefits and Claims platform. Their daily work includes coding, test-driven development (TDD), documentation, collaboration, and communication, with a focus on problem-solving, reducing technical debt, and meeting deadlines.

About You
In this role, you will work as part of a small cross-functional team to iteratively deliver value to our customers. Each of our product delivery teams is responsible for shipping an important piece of our roadmap, as well as continually maintaining and improving a specific area of our product.

To thrive in this role, you are someone who works well in teams and enjoys collaborating. Furthermore, you understand the business impact of your code and enjoy incorporating the business objectives into your approach to development. You enjoy working with product management to find the best solution to the problem at hand, and can balance technical tradeoffs with delivering customer value quickly and iteratively.

What you will do:

  • Work on a cross-functional, feature-driven engineering team
  • Participate in technical design and planning discussions
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to build new features and delight our members
  • Uphold standards for quality by performing code reviews, fixing bugs, creating automated tests, and monitoring performance
  • Live our team values of ownership, pragmatism, cooperation, and empathy for our customers

What you bring

  • 1-3 years' experience working with server-side programming languages
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern web services architectures
  • Experience building and maintaining automated test suites

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.

$74,400$116,200 CAD
