How you'll make a difference?

The Software Developer I is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of software for our FLASH navigation system.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Actively participates in all phases of the software development life cycle in compliance to applicable regulations (e.g. ISO 13485)

  • Design, develop, verify, and unit test software based on documented requirements

  • Write documentation in compliance with a quality management system

  • Contributes to peer code review, demonstrations, software maintenance, and unit testing

  • Identify root causes and resolve software defects

  • Collaborate with the software quality assurance to facilitate system testing

What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • Software development experience, preferably using C# and/or C++, in a related field

  • Proficiency with one or more software source control system(s) (e.g. Subversion, Git, etc.)

  • Proficiency with a variety of software development tools
