As the Social Media Lead on assigned brands, the Social Media Specialist owns the day-to-day development, execution, and optimization of social media programs across a portfolio of still and sparkling water brands. This role is responsible for ensuring strategic social plans come to life in monthly calendars, campaign action plans, and trend-driven activations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, culturally attuned, and comfortable managing multiple brand workstreams at once within a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

This role collaborates closely with strategists, creatives, and clients—bridging high-level strategy with tactical execution. While focused primarily on organic social media, a foundational understanding of paid social is required to ensure content is optimized for holistic success. You are the go-to expert for your assigned brands and play a key role in driving program excellence, innovation, and growth.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within an agency environment
  • Experience working with CPG brands is required; beverage industry experience is preferred
  • Deep understanding of organic social media strategy and content development; foundational knowledge of paid social and content formats that perform well in paid placements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple brands, projects, and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Skilled in developing and managing content calendars 1–2 months in advance while remaining agile for real-time and reactive content opportunities
  • Strong ability to executionalize strategy—translating social insights and strategic direction into actionable content plans, monthly calendars, and tentpole activations
  • Confident and articulate communicator, with experience presenting to brand managers and senior client stakeholders
  • Strong pulse on cultural and social media trends, with the ability to identify and recommend meaningful brand moments
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and social KPIs to optimize future content and inform performance discussions
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to guide and mentor junior team members (e.g., Social Coordinators) 

JOB DUTIES

  • Acts as the Social Media Lead for assigned brands within a multi-brand portfolio
  • Owns the execution and oversight of integrated social media strategies, content calendars, and social program roadmaps
  • Executionalizes strategy into deliverables such as monthly content calendars, campaign action plans, real-time social moments, and trend-based content
  • Coordinates and aligns with integrated agency teams, creative partners, and client stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality content execution
  • Maintains visibility into both always-on and campaign-based initiatives, proactively managing timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Stays on top of social media and platform trends, identifying opportunities for brands to participate in relevant cultural and reactive moments
  • Presents and explains strategic direction, with support from strategists and account teams, and content rationale in client-facing meetings with clarity and confidence
  • Regularly reviews social media analytics and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization
  • Mentors and supports junior team members as needed, contributing to the overall leadership and operational success of the social program
  • Identifies and shares ideas to improve content quality, streamline workflow, and increase audience engagement
