We are seeking a Social Media Manager with a passion for storytelling and building brands! This role will be tasked with developing and implementing buzzworthy content strategies that drive mass awareness to support our growth. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, collaborative and always has a pulse on external news and media.


Note: This is a hybrid opportunity. We are accepting applicants within Ontario, Canada only.

In this role you will:

  • Lead organic social channels including strategy optimization, content development, publishing, testing and reporting
  • Oversee social media content calendars considering business goal and objectives
  • Leverage influencer content into the marketing calendar and collaborate with creators and editors for any UGC opportunities
  • Work closely across the business such as the Impact, Innovation, and Sales teams to amplify the Open Farm mission
  • Develop creative campaign concepts, in partnership with the Creative team Lead and add your lens from a cultural perspective while ensuring alignment with brand voice and execute social content strategies including Strategy
  • Utilize data, insights and any algorithm changes to inform social creative, copy, and tap into trending moments
  • Partner with the Community Manager on a daily basis to ensure optimal response times, high risk messages or videos are flagged and drive community insights into social media strategy
  • All other duties as assigned.

We’re paw-sitively excited about you because you have:

  • At least 4 years of work experience in social media management for an established CPG brand
  • Expert knowledge in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit
  • Experience using third party social media platforms such as Dash Hudson
  • High attention to detail including proofreading skills, and the ability to adapt writing to suit our brand’s voice and tone
  • You’ve used your video creation and editing skills to execute viral content pieces
  •  Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to respond to cultural moments effectively and in a timely manner
  • Managed social media accounts of 200k+ followers a plus
  • Curious and driven to ask questions for deeper understanding

Hybrid Work


At Open Farm, we believe in the power of collaboration, meaningful connections, and enjoying our work together—fury friends included! That’s why we’ve adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
