Synopsis of the role

Equifax Canada is looking for a Social Media Manager to manage, track, and optimize our social media strategy. This includes owning and developing our brand presence online in Canada, leading our internal employee advocacy program, and assisting in developing a strategy for lead generation across social networks. The Social Media Manager will work closely with our marketing team, content managers, sales team and executives to position Equifax Canada for growth through top of the funnel digital marketing. This role reports into the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, within the Canada Marketing team.

What you’ll do

  • Create and deploy insightful, engaging content to further enhance our brand story and cultivate a following across our digital channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube 

  • Build partnerships and manage stakeholder relationships across product, executive and sales teams 

  • Develop cohesive tactics and content that help drive business growth and engagement across social networks, as well as measurable strategies and execution plans with clear KPIs to meet varying business needs 

  • Own goals and performance metrics for social networks, creating both ad hoc and monthly reports 

  • Lead and grow our internal employee advocacy program 

  • Identify emerging industry trends while improving standard operating procedures to manage content deliverables in various formats  (photography, video, storyboards, etc.) 

  •  Support content initiatives to raise brand awareness, create effective thought leadership content, and generate content that converts  

 

What experience you need

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or a related field   
  • 3 years of experience in social engagement, community management, social content strategy and planning with with B2B and B2C experience 
  • 3 years of experience optimizing activity, content, networks and tools (i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Sprout Social, and social listening tools etc. )    
  •  3 years of experience creating and executing effective social media strategies and content marketing initiatives  

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to capture and use various data points to develop and measure marketing programs 

  • Experience with paid social media initiatives, campaigns and ROI 

  • Deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis

  •  Experience managing brand identity and developing compelling social campaigns and digital marketing content that converts, informs, and persuades our network of followers

  • Strong grasp of current B2B and D2C digital marketing tools, social platforms, and content strategies

  • Ability to manage digital marketing and social media content from concept to execution

  • A creative flair and passion for keeping up with the latest in B2B and D2C social media marketing trends

  • Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset
