Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Dexterra Signature Dining (a part of Dexterra Group) is looking for a talented Social Media & Engagement Coordinator. This position is based in Waterloo and requires an on-site presence of 30 hours per week.

  • Proficient in creating a variety of Social Media content that is aligned to the Dexterra Signature Dining brand and juggling multiple handles on behalf of multiple Dexterra units.
  • Collect and create content to populate these handles with engaging, relevant, and value-adding material for customers.
  • Send weekly reports regarding social media KPIs to Dexterra Signature Dining’s national lead of Social Media and organically grow Digital Footprint Month-Month.
  • Interact with customers to gauge customer satisfaction regarding Food Services and liaise with Dexterra’s management team providing the pain points and work towards integrating solutions in our operations.
  • Work with the food service team to generate excellent digital content regarding food processes, new offerings, and leverage cultural trends.
  • Respond to questions, inquiries, and suggestions about Food Services with a winsome and professional manner to create a strong digital customer service culture.
  • Determine multiple stakeholders within the unit and look for opportunities to collaborate to amplify digital viewership and build our brand.
  • Manage Dexterra’s E-Commerce environment for pre-ordering and keep it up to date with new products and offerings.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Good fundamentals around graphic design, audio/video editing, storyboarding, and managing a content calendar to ensure proper execution of our Content Strategy.
  • Working understanding of a variety of Social Media platforms and how best to create and funnel content through them.
  • Able to spontaneously create polished content with mobile devices that is readily cross-pollinated or repurposed for a variety of Social Media purposes.
  • Able to build rapport quickly with other customers and extract quality feedback regarding our services and offerings.
  • Are punctual and timely in providing coverage of key events for their respective Dexterra Signature Dining Units to market Dexterra’s offerings and build the consumer knowledge of the “Dexterra Signature Dining Experience.”
  • Personable and enjoy interacting with school community. Ability to make everyone comfortable for content creation and creating marketing collateral.
  • Curious and passionate about food and the customer experience that surrounds it.
  • A strong team player who can work with the kitchen and frontline teams to capture content in a non-intrusive manner.
  • Tactful, but creative in crafting a social media voice and persona that is aligned to the Dexterra brand.
  • Understanding of basic social media analytics and metrics including Impressions, Reach, and Engagement across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.

  • Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Understanding of how to build and manage brand positioning.
  • Ability to market and grow multiple social media handles for differing brand concepts.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
