Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Settlement Analyst to support the delivery of accurate, timely settlement products across a range of energy markets and customer programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and solving operational problems in a fast-paced market environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly settlement statements, shadow invoices, and meter data reports
- Analyze meter data and market data to ensure settlement accuracy and data integrity
- Maintain and update settlement tools to reflect market rule and program changes
- Support the development and improvement of automated settlement processes
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
- Support special projects related to settlements, reporting, and market data
- Communicate findings clearly with internal stakeholders and support customer-facing deliverables
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, accounting, engineering, economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in settlements, billing, market operations, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills including VBA and macros
- Experience with Python, including Pandas and NumPy, for data analysis and process support
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in energy markets and settlement operations
