The position is ideal for someone who is good at solving complex problems with creative solutions and has a keen eye for detail. You will be at the heart of merging user needs with business goals and technical realities, crafting seamless experiences across various digital platforms.

As a Senior UX Specialist, you will play a pivotal role throughout the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with strategy, design, data, development, and product management teams. Your mission will be to ensure the user's perspective is a primary focus during planning, production, and post-launch phases. You will be instrumental in generating research insights, customer journeys, information architectures, and translating these into wireframes and prototypes that clearly communicate design intentions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead user research activities including interviews, surveys, workshops, and usability testing to gather early-stage product insights.
  • Translate customer requirements into compelling user-centered design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain customer journeys and user personas.
  • Craft architectural diagrams, process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to facilitate design and development.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to navigate technical constraints when designing for various channels or platforms.
  • Champion the user's perspective throughout the product development process. This involves presenting research findings to stakeholders and advocating for design decisions that prioritize the user experience.
  • Stay abreast of the latest UX trends, tools, and methods, particularly in responsive mobile website and app design.
  • Analyze and recommend process improvements to enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support project teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring user needs are addressed.
  • Articulate complex design ideas to project teams and clients using concept sketches and wireframes, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
  • Facilitate UX workshops to drive ideation and understanding.
  • Create visual presentations for both clients and internal briefings.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, while fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, product design, information architecture, or a similar role, with at least 3 years focused on UX research.
  • Prior consultancy or agency experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in information architecture and interaction design patterns for mobile and responsive web.
  • Proven experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and journey workshops to inform design decisions.
  • Proficiency with Figma or similar design and prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design techniques; experience with design sprints & team-based concepting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, client relations, and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong writing, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive self-starter who is comfortable in a flexible, start-up environment.
  • A passion for digital strategy, products, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
