About the Job: The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for understanding complex business, technical and customer problems and translating them into simple and elegant digital solutions – blending quant and qual research and insights, data and solid intuition. Must be able to clearly communicate vision and know how to balance customer needs and business goals. Success is building strong cross-functional partnerships with Product, IT and other UX team members, and understanding that their seat at the table is to represent the customer’s point of view.

The Senior UX/UI Designer will be responsible for the conceptualizing, designing and delivering design artifacts to improve the user experience of the client digital product and expanding and maintaining high design standards.

 

Office Location: Toronto

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office)

 

Position Responsibilities:

20% Strategy & Planning

• Identify opportunities for improving design and delivery process

• Influence business and product leadership and guide cross-functional teams in user-centered

design

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of efficient and

effective usability processes, documentation and workflow

• Lead design projects and influence the overall UX strategy based on advanced knowledge of user

experience principles and research methods, and using evaluative techniques to iteratively

improve products

 

70% Delivery & Execution

• Work closely with UX, product and IT project team members to understand the business process

and requirements to design the most effective user interfaces

• Create visual design & product elements for user interfaces, taking into consideration user

research and industry & design best practices

• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives

and demos

• Collaborate with UX analysts and designers, copywriters, product managers on scenarios, end to-

end experiences, and screen designs

• Present UX/UI concepts and designs clearly for feedback, approval and implementation

 

10% People

• Support Design team members in complex/technical tasks

• Provide mentorship/introductions to UX for non-UX associates

• Coach junior associates in UX activities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a UX Designer
  • Proficiency in Figma and Miro for design, collaboration, and ideation.
  • Experience with UX playbooks and user-testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Experience analyzing data to generate actionable UX insights.
  • Knowledge of project and change-management principles


Benefits

Salary Range: $90,000 to $95,000 CAD/ year

The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training. Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
