We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Product Owner to join our team and lead the development and optimization of our Customer and Producer Storefronts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of customer-centric product development. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with business stakeholders, gathering business requirements, and translating them into actionable technical stories for the development team. As the Technical Product Owner, you will ensure that the squad adheres to agile practices, including conducting regular ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. You will also be responsible for planning the technical roadmap, prioritizing features, and ensuring that delivery is on track to meet business objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining a seamless communication experience for our customers.

Position Responsibilities:   

 

  • Lead the Customer and Producer Storefronts team to deliver a seamless and efficient communication process for our customers. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals. 
  • Monitors and generates reports on product KPIs. 
  • Utilize data and customer feedback to continuously improve the digital communication experience. 
  • Manage the technology product backlog, define user stories, and set sprint goals. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product vision and goals. 
  • Monitor and report on product performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance the customer experience. 
  • Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure seamless operation. 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for business and technical processes. 
  • Lead the development and execution of a long-term platform strategy aligned with technology architectural and business goals. 
  • Brings an innovative mindset to improving and elevating technology solutions and enablers 

 

Required Qualifications:  

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management, technical product owner, platform owner, engineer, or similar role  
  • Experience with project tracking software (e.g Jira) 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies 
  • Experience with Azure, AKS on Azure 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) 
  • Experience with DevOps principles and tools 
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

 

  • Strong understanding of life insurance industry workflows and processes, particularly relevant to the products being used 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective solutions 
  • Experience with program and agile delivery methodologies 
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
