The Senior Specialist, Supply Chain Management Planning will oversee all product level demand planning for Network Products. The individual is required to provide overall guidance on supply chain planning as well as presentation of key risks / gaps to senior leadership. They are also responsible for ensuring continuity of communication with our main supply sites. This individual is responsible for consolidating account level forecasts into a companywide demand plan. The individual will be responsible to convert the demand plan into the purchase forecast to be fulfilled from various Samsung factories. In addition, they will manage and monitor the overall logistics process of Direct-Shipped container, full trailer, ULD and LTL Direct conveyance of Samsung goods to our various customers’ warehouses. Successful execution of this role will require collaboration with the Account Program Management, General Contractors, Sales, Logistics and Global Operations. This role will require travel between GTA and Montreal.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create forecasts utilizing inputs from Account Program Management, Global Operations, Sales, General Contractors and relay to the factory through Samsung planning system
  • Validate the forecast through various analysis to facilitate accurate and timely demand forecasts
  • Ownership of CMF process for Networks
  • Inventory optimization within SECA distribution centers
  • Work closely with WH and Logistics to ensure cell site BOM for each configuration are accurate and built according to requirements
  • Identify and communicate supply constraints in a timely manner and create recovery plans
  • KPI Monitoring and Analysis (sales, aging, forecast accuracy, inventory management, weeks of supply)
  • Weekly and daily Supply Chain Management reporting in support of leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Weekly communication with Global Operations and daily communication with logistics based on product constraints and overages
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics to expedite shipments as required ensuring product arrives on time to meet customers’ requested delivery date
  • Support the standardization and implementation of Supply Chain Management operating procedures
  • Single Point of Contact for all Direct Ship enquiries, reporting, alignment of expectation and conveyance current location / real-time performance against Lead Time expectation) from both internal and external partners
  • Maintain, as required, the internal system (SAP ERP) orders, customer data and lead time tables specific to Direct Ship Program
  • Develops professional expertise by complying with company policies and procedures
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analyzing situations or data requires a review on various factors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent communication Skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization

  • Korean language skills an asset

Experience:

  • Min of 5 -7 year experience, in relevant field preferred

  • Experience managing a product category from a Supply Chain Management perspective

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $68,000 to $94,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, competencies, qualifications, relevant skills and experience. The total rewards package for a Regular Full-Time employee may include a variable incentive, savings matching (RRSP/TFSA/NRSP), extended health and dental benefits with spending accounts, wellness and well-being benefits, development opportunities, and other employee perks.
