What is it like to be a Senior Software Engineer at Northbridge Financial
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and assisting users with complex insurance systems and coordinating the activities of a project team in an assigned business area as required. Senior Software Engineers are required to develop features and support the business with rollouts and support around existing software capabilities which have been leveraged.
If you are great at:
- Interface with systems analysts, solution designers, IT architects, and business stakeholders, to understand the business-software engineering requirements.
- Drive the identification of best solutions and uses of technology to drive business growth, profitability, and efficiencies.
- Work with a team of analysts, engineers, management, and business stakeholders to identify software engineering solutions while assessing technical and business suitability, and its impact to the enterprise’s systems.
- Manage daily operations and functionality of the application within production support area, resolve production problems and errors.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend operational procedures and best practices to optimize processes and workflow efficiencies.
If you have:
- Proficiency in Angular, .netCore, Node.js, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS is a definite asset.
- Expertise with DBs – MongoDB, Redis, MS SQL Sever, Oracle, Mysql, PostgresSQL.
- Expertise with the following technologies: in XML, XSLT, ASP.Net, MS SQL server-side and client-side script for browsers.
- Expertise with API / Web Services / Microservices.
- Expertise with Cloud – AWS, Azure, GCP Cloud.
- Expertise with CI/CD – Jenkins.
- Expertise with Configuration Management – Ansible.
- Expertise with Windows & Linux skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree is preferred) and/or equivalent on the job experience.
- 8+ years’ experience in software engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management, including the use of Azure DevOps.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $158,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
