You will play a pivotal role in optimizing tools, workflows, and infrastructure to help our engineers ship high quality software faster and with confidence. You'll work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams to identify friction points in the development process, automate repetitive tasks, and build systems that scale with our growing engineering team.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Analyze and enhance the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to improve developer efficiency and satisfaction
  • Build and maintain internal tools and services that streamline code building, testing, deployment, and observability
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand pain points and develop solutions that improve day-to-day productivity
  • Lead initiatives to standardize and improve CI/CD pipelines, development environments, and build systems
  • Champion best practices in code quality, automation, and observability
  • Instrument metrics and feedback loops to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of developer tooling
  • Contribute to documentation and onboarding resources to make development more intuitive for new engineers
  • Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Let's Connect If You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Internal Tools or Platform Engineering within a cloud native architecture.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB , RDS PgSQL, API Gateway, S3, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with internal developer portals
  • A strong sense of developer empathy and a passion for optimizing engineering workflows
  • Residing in Toronto, Ontario and ability to work in the PST time zone

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Successful experience managing the community-to-customer lifecycle across complementary open source and commercial offerings.
  • Experience working on platform or internal developer tooling teams
  • Familiarity with monorepos or large-scale codebases
  • Knowledge of performance profiling, test optimization, or build caching
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
  • Contributions to open-source developer tools
