Position Summary

As a Senior Account Manager, you will work with clients to understand their business issues and execute custom research projects to meet their needs. You will manage multiple projects from start to finish, including designing research approaches with senior team members, liaising with partners in Research Operations to execute projects, analyzing data to generate insights, developing recommendations, and creating compelling presentations that help illuminate the human behaviours behind the data. You will also have a role to play in business development – working on proposals, thought leadership, and sales narratives. The Senior Account Manager will report to the Vice President and join a team of curious-minded researchers and client partners. 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Understand and address business needs/issues of respective clients.

  • Assist in proposal development with senior colleagues as needed.

  • Work with other senior team members on thought leadership pieces, sales materials, and public-facing insights for marketing and business development. 

  • Manage multiple survey-based market research projects at once, within timeline and budgets, including working closely with colleagues in our Operations groups to oversee all components of projects.

  • Design questionnaires and plan analyses.

  • Analyze data and draw conclusions; prepare reports and presentations; make recommendations based on the insights that address the client’s business needs.

  • Manage overall project profitability.

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and consultation.

  • Coaching junior staff to develop their project management and research skills.

     

     

Ideal Candidate has the following Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years relevant experience (supplier side market research preferred).

  • Requires strong quantitative, research, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to turn data into insights through analysis and storytelling.

  • Ability to oversee and direct multiple projects.

  • Must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial (i.e., ability to think independently). 

  • Intellectually curious with a desire to better understand the “why” behind the data. 

  • Works well in a team environment with senior and junior colleagues.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to review the work of others for grammar, formatting, and voice.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required – market research, marketing, and/or business coursework/programs are an asset.

 

 

In accordance with Ontario & British Columbia law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $73,000 - $75,000 CAD. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discrimatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
