Job Description:

Dimensional's Canadian Wealth Management group leads Dimensional’s efforts to acquire long-term client relationships and increase the firm’s reach in the marketplace. Team members work closely with financial advisors to offer focused, specialized support and ensure the delivery of a consistently impeccable client experience. Everyone is empowered to offer up and execute on innovative ways to produce results.

The Senior Relationship Manager (formerly Regional Director), Canadian Wealth Management Group, is responsible for business development and relationship management of both new and existing clients. They will lead all sales related activities as well as organize efforts of client service team members to effectively address the needs of advisors across eastern Canada. To be successful, the Senior Relationship Manager must have a strong knowledge of investments, capital markets and asset allocation theory. The ability to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides is critical to working with and influencing advisors. Just as important, the Senior Relationship Manager must have a solid business development and client service orientation and understand the issues and setbacks advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales leadership and management of a territory composed primarily of financial advisors.
  • Develop new relationships and retain and deepen existing relationships.
  • Consult with advisors on building an efficient practice while providing a successful investment experience to clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues alike.
  • Present Dimensional’s investment capabilities, investment theory and performance at conferences and other events.
  • Formulate and execute tailored Dimensional initiatives and champions existing company initiatives.
  • Be a team-player and business development and client service leader within the Dimensional team.
  • Be a spokesperson and ambassador of the Dimensional and our investment approach throughout the industry.
  • Increase AUM and the number of advisor clients within the territory.

Desirable experience and traits:

  • Extensive industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or CFA or other industry designations strongly preferred.
  • A personal alignment, understanding and appreciation of Dimensional's investment approach, philosophy and business strategy.
  • Demonstrated track-record of building relationships with advisors and growing a client base.
  • Extensive knowledge and network of financial advisors with enough intellectual curiosity to want to learn more about Dimensional.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key Dimensional selling points in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to present Dimensional’s products and philosophy to small and large groups.
  • Ability to coach and mentor to junior members of the team.
  • Results-oriented but highly collaborative while making work fun for others.
  • Ability to work successfully in teams as well as operate independently.
  • Preferably fluent in English and French
