Job Summary:

As Semtech’s Senior Quality Management Engineer, you will assist with managing the implementation and management of QMS, and ISO conformance across multiple sites. You have a strong business sense and are a creative problem solver with proven experience in developing new ideas, approaches and solutions. You are a strong communicator who can communicate effectively across the organization and are approachable and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing internal audit plans and schedules for multiple sites.

  • Plan and lead process audits, 2nd party audits as needed, according to latest ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.

  • Write and publish audit reports. Report audit results to management. 

  • Follow up on all non-conformities and opportunities for improvement detected during audits and ensure successful closure of findings using Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA).

  • Maintain quality procedures, ensure contents are appropriate for the business. 

  • Participate or drive Change Management Process; process PCN, EOL, Waiver; participate in NCMR process. 

  • Manage and supervise the equipment Calibration process.

  • Other activities related to QMS may be included in responsibilities of the Sr QMS Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Material Science Engineering, Quality, or related degree.

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in electronics engineering, manufacturing, or quality, preferably in a high tech or electronics industry.

  • Lead Auditor Certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. ASQ or SQA certification desirable.

  • Experience using various statistical and quality methodologies including but not limited to Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE) is highly desirable.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to travel 10%-20%
