We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intermediate QA Automation Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software testing and automation, with a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in software development. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards.Additionally, the successful candidate should possess good knowledge of performance testing, including the ability to identify bottlenecks, analyze performance metrics, and optimize test scenarios to ensure applications meet performance requirements and deliver optimal user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work on the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
· Work in collaboration with other team members and provide technical support.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and ensure test coverage.
· Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
· Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
· Continuously improve and optimize test automation frameworks and processes.
· Design and execute performance tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and user experience standards.
· Mentor and guide junior test automation engineers.
· Document test cases, test results, and defects.
· Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.
· Champion AI Adoption & Co-Pilot Mastery — Serve as an internal advocate and power user of TELUS FueliX and other AI co-pilot tools, continuously deepening expertise.
· Support Development of New AI Co-Pilots — Contribute to ideation, design, and development of new AI co-pilots as business needs evolve.
· Stay Current on AI Trends & Innovations — Monitor developments in generative AI space and bring relevant insights to inform strategy and tooling decisions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 3-4 years of proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
· Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and related tools.
· Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
· Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
· Proficiency in scripting/programming and hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Technical Background — Strong foundational technical skills (e.g., software development) to support future transition into a full-time AI/co-pilot role.
· AI Tool Proficiency — Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools, co-pilots, or generative AI platforms (e.g., FueliX, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
Nice to have:
· Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
· Experience with other test automation tools (e.g., Appium).
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
· Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
Base Salary Range 58,100.00 - 83,000.00 - 107,900.00 CAD Annual
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
