Job Description
Organize multiple projects, while maintaining the standards expected by our clients, agency stakeholders and outside vendors.
Responsible for all print (and some digital) material produced by the Studio as requested by Publicis Groupe companies.
Ensure that agency stakeholders adhere to studio processes and procedures when sending files to the Studio.
Check file location, folder structure and naming conventions of electronic files on a regular basis, to ensure consistency across the department.
Perform secondary review of proofreading projects sent to contractors and external vendors as needed. Assist in onboarding new team members as necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure client-approved Copy decks match draft studio PDFs – for English, French and Spanish language material – (translations are provided as Word files)
- Review for typographic consistency, brand guidelines, logo placement, alignment of graphic elements and compare/match detailed print specs
- Annotate any errors and inconsistencies clearly and concisely (reading against the copy deck), and the print specs (provided in the SI document)
- Deliver PDFs with clearly written notes, to the creative, account services and print production teams, for review and further comment.
- Compare press-ready PDFs before shipping to external vendor. Review and approve press-proof PDFs as supplied by the vendor
Qualifications
Qualifications/Technical Skills:
- 5-8 years proofreading experience in an Ad agency, or similar marketing department, design studio or print environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is essential (working knowledge of InDesign and other Adobe apps would be a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel are essential
People Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively and show a willingness to help others
- Be a self-starter and take the initiative
- Communicate effectively with studio staff, and the broader agency team
- Administrative tasks include attending daily studio status meetings
