Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager / Project Leader is responsible for providing project management leadership on large‑scale, complex, high‑profile, and high‑risk IT initiatives. This role ensures project deliverables meet business requirements within approved scope, schedule, and budget, while coordinating across multiple stakeholders, organizations, and vendors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end‑to‑end project management across the full lifecycle, from blueprint and planning through implementation.
  • Collaborate with multiple levels of enterprise IT teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate solution design, testing, and implementation activities involving:
    • Microsoft 365 technologies
    • Identity and Access Management solutions
    • Enterprise IT system migrations
  • Deliver cross‑organizational projects involving internal teams, external partner organizations, and third‑party vendors (e.g., Microsoft).
  • Facilitate engagement with senior management and executive stakeholders; represent key stakeholders in project governance committees.
  • Prepare and manage key project artefacts, including:
    • Project Change Requests
    • Statements of Work (SOW)
    • Service Agreements
    • Work assessments
  • Define and deliver a project delivery model, including clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and financials.
  • Ensure all stakeholders remain aligned and committed to project goals and objectives.
  • Plan for and allocate appropriate project resources.
  • Create implementation plans and schedules for multiple application and operations initiatives.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and status reporting.
  • Provide regular project status updates to management.
  • Manage go‑live activities to minimize disruption to business operations.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Technical Skills (50%)

  • Expert‑level project management skills supporting activities such as:
    • Solution design
    • Release and environment coordination
    • Portfolio management
    • Executive reporting
  • Experience working with Identity and Access Management technologies, including federation implementations between large organizations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, including:
    • Entra ID
    • Email platforms
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft Teams
  • Expert knowledge in transitioning and migrating enterprise IT system infrastructure and user account/domain architectures.
  • Knowledge of user security risk management, desktop environments, and server/network administration.
  • Experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from blueprint to implementation.
  • Experience engaging vendor subject‑matter experts (e.g., Microsoft) for solution design and testing.

Project Management Skills (40%)

  • Proven experience facilitating engagement with senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience representing stakeholders within formal project governance structures.
  • Experience working with public‑sector or large enterprise organizations.
  • Experience delivering cross‑organizational projects involving internal teams and external vendors.

Communication Skills (10%)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong consensus‑building and issue‑resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player under pressure and tight deadlines.
