What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director Project Management, the Senior Project Coordinator provides support on large complex projects and may lead small to medium projects supporting the HR Shared Services PMO.  The role will include end to end management of small projects or medium workstreams and may include facilitation, documentation, reports, dashboards, presentations, along with other areas of opportunity. Additionally, this role will provide  business support (e.g., reporting, analytics) and project implementation support to HR Shared Services for enterprise, HR and LOB initiated projects.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.  Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you’ll succeed

  • Project Coordination – Create and integrate work breakdown structures data into a comprehensive schedule. Develop, manage, consolidate, and control schedules and resource allocation reports by updating and making mitigation decisions. Document and manage the end-to-end process, including quality, timelines, and final output.
  • Reporting and Tracking – Track progress and make recommendations on response plans for risk, resolution plans for issues, and results on action items and make decisions on required escalation. Track, reconcile, and update financials ensuring actuals to plan, and to make recommendations and/or escalate as appropriate. Manage the development, testing, and implementation of analytics. Create presentations and or/dashboards for HR business partners.
  • Relationship Management – Act as the primary liaison with internal business partners to determine and provide guidance on selected projects, programs, or work packages.
