What You’ll Be Doing 

 

You will work with CIBC’s Cybersecurity, Third Party & Resilience Project Management Office (CTPR PMO). Senior IT Project Coordinator, PMO Governance & Communications is responsible for PMO Governance & Communications activities, you will be working within the Project Control team, and reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO Governance Lead You will be responsible for monitoring key project control procedures and policies, ensuring that Project Coordinators execute across a wide range of projects through ongoing communications and awareness tactics You will act as a quality assurance reviewer working with Project Coordinators on a regular cadence across the CTPR project portfolio.

How You’ll Succeed 

  • Governance Support:You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team. You will ensure that project teams adhere to CTPR PMO and Enterprise PMO governance, and use standardized processes, best practices, and tools. You will support the maintenance of a centralized project management governance structure and ensure PMO governance consistency across projects. You will prepare governance-related status reports and presentations for senior management, business and technology partners, and other stakeholders.  

  • Analysis & Communications:  You will keep up to date on all Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) governance communications, using this information to provide supportive guidance and information to the overall PMO team, regarding processes, training and reporting requirements You will be an expert SharePoint and Planview user with strong oral and written communication skills. 

  • Project Financials – You will track and reconcile financials ensuring resolution of anomalies. You will prepare monthly financial variance summaries. You will work closely with the Senior PM to prepare monthly financial forecasts. You will update and reconcile ongoing estimates, making recommendations, and escalating when necessary, working closely with the Senior Project Manager. You have good time management skills.

  • Support the Senior Manager, PMO Governance Lead:  You will support the CTPR PMO Governance Lead with day-to-day administrative functions. You will be a problem solver with a focus on improving quality, supporting key performance indicator reporting and dashboards, and delivering high quality metrics. You have good time management skills.   

Who You Are 

  • You can demonstrate 2+ years of experience managing all facets of governance within a Portfolio & Project Management Office. You have hands-on experience creating reports for governance and supporting a Project Management Office throughout the lifecycle of projects. You have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and verbal communication skills. In addition, you have strong knowledge of project management methodology.
