Job Title: Senior Program Manager & Release Train Engineer Location: Mississauga, ONEmployment Type: Contract Employment Type: Hybrid About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with extensive experience in End-to-End (ETE) Solution Management and Release Train Engineering (RTE). This role is divided between Solution Ownership (60%) and RTE (40%).

Responsibilities:ETE Solution Owner (60%)
  • Business Alignment & Solutioning: Understand business requirements, facilitate discussions, and map dependencies based on Epic scope.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with RTEs, STEs, Product Managers, and ART teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.

  • Dependency Management: Oversee cross-team and cross-train dependencies, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.

  • Compliance & Architecture: Work with security, design stakeholders, and architects to ensure solution compliance and resolve technical constraints.

  • Program Increment Planning: Participate in PI Planning sessions to align strategy and execution.

  • Release Definition & Management: Collaborate with Product Management and delivery teams for release planning and execution.

  • Status Reporting: Provide clear and consistent status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Financial Management Support: Assist VS, Epic Owners, and ART Financial Managers in Classification reviews with Finance.


Release Train Engineer (For 3 Scrum Teams - 40%)

  • Facilitation of ART Events: Lead PI Planning, System Demos, Retrospectives, and other essential ART events.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the ART for successful delivery.

  • Impediment Removal: Ensure smooth workflow by proactively identifying and resolving impediments.

  • Release Management: Assist with planning, execution, and monitoring of release activities.

  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with other Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers for effective delivery.

  • Economic Decision-Making: Support decision-making related to resources and economic prioritization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Track KPIs to drive ongoing improvements and optimize performance.

  • Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Manager for effective goal-setting and Program Backlog management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven Experience: 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Agile Release Train Engineering, or ETE Solution Ownership within IT.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum), API Platforms, and Digital Pricing systems.

  • Collaboration & Communication Skills: Excellent ability to coordinate across multiple teams, communicate with stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives.

  •  

  • Certification (Preferred): SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or related certifications.

    • Analytical Skills: Proficient in tracking and analyzing KPIs for performance optimization.
