Manulife is seeking a Product Owner with experience in Customer Data Platforms (CDP) to join our team. In this role, you will lead the planning and delivery of CDP implementations, collaborating closely with data engineers and business analysts in Data Activation team, as part of Global Digital Marketing. You will report to the Director of Data Activation & Segmentation, contributing to the enhancement of our digital marketing capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, and to make a significant impact on the delivery of technology services to our global organization.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business, Marketing, Program management & Data office teams to gather and document requirements for CDP implementation use-cases.

  • Work collaboratively with data enablement and engineering teams to analyze and document technical dependencies.

  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, aligned with business objectives, and communicated effectively to technical teams.

  • Drive the product strategy, planning, and delivery of key capabilities for CDP platform (defines product goals) enabling Personalization propagation across the organization

  • Create use case & technical enhancement roadmap with business analysts, data engineers, and web data specialists to plan and prioritize the delivery of CDP use-cases and capability improvements.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to meet project goals on time. Lead the squad through Agile methodology by ensuring increasing squad velocity & managing backlog as per business priorities

  • Communicate timelines clearly with internal and external teams.

  • Define, measure & report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each use case & campaign working with business and Measurements & Insights team

  • Lead the process of logging, prioritizing, and planning change requests for CDP projects.

  • Assess the impact of changes on current processes and systems and work with team members to implement adjustments as needed.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for team members involved in Canada segment CDP projects with accountability for the CDP product backlog and feature prioritization process of the Canada segment squad.

  • Facilitate communication and alignment between business units and technical teams, addressing any issues or concerns; maintain RAID log & end to end process documentation with partner teams

  • Coordinate with data engineering, web data engineering, and business analysis teams to achieve project goals, fostering a collaborative environment for successful outcomes and effective problem-solving.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ or more years of proven experience as in a similar role, particularly working on MarTech implementation projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications or additional training in CDP, digital transformation, or project management are preferred.

  • Experience leading digital transformation projects and handling multi-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP); preferably Customer Data Platforms (CDP),.

  • Knowledge of offline data integration and Azure Data Lake is highly desirable.

  • Understanding of data engineering and web and app data collection principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

  • Experience in the financial services industry in Canada is a plus.

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
