About the Role

At Float, Product Marketing Managers are adoption architects—they own the strategy and execution that drives product adoption across the entire customer journey.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to turn Float’s multi-product platform into clear, compelling narratives and programs that drive usage, adoption, and expansion.

This is not a role focused only on launches. You will work end-to-end across acquisition, activation, adoption, and expansion, owning outcomes not just deliverables.

What You’ll Own1. Product Adoption Strategy & Execution
  • Own strategy and execution to drive product adoption across the full customer journey (pre- and post-sale)

  • Translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated messaging and positioning

  • Identify adoption gaps and design programs to improve usage and engagement

2. Go-to-Market & Lifecycle Programs
  • Lead and support product launches but go beyond them into ongoing lifecycle and growth programs

  • Build and execute initiatives across:

    • Acquisition (messaging, packaging, GTM)

    • Activation (onboarding, first value)

    • Adoption (feature usage, engagement)

    • Expansion (upsell, cross-sell signals)

3. Platform Narrative & Messaging
  • Help shape Float’s multi-product platform story, not just individual features

  • Develop messaging that resonates with target segments and evolves with the product

  • Partner with Marketing to bring campaigns and content to life (while owning core messaging yourself)

4. Cross-Functional Commercialization
  • Act as the bridge between Product and GTM teams

  • Partner with:

    • Product → influence roadmap based on market & customer insights

    • Sales → enable teams with clear value propositions and positioning

    • Customer Success → drive adoption and retention strategies

  • Ensure alignment across teams to drive measurable outcomes

5. Insights, Experimentation & Data
  • Use product, customer, and lifecycle data to identify opportunities and inform strategy

  • Design and run experiments to improve adoption and performance

  • Measure success through impact on adoption, usage, and commercial metrics

What Success Looks Like
  • Product adoption meaningfully increases for your focus areas

  • Clear, compelling messaging exists across the customer journey

  • Lifecycle programs drive measurable improvements in usage and expansion

  • GTM teams are aligned and enabled with strong positioning and narratives

  • You operate as both a strategist and executor, moving quickly from insight to action

What You Bring Core Capabilities
  • Strong product and strategic thinking. You can connect product, market, and customer needs

  • Excellent messaging and storytelling skills (you can write and create, not just brief others)

  • Comfortable operating across the full funnel, not just launches

  • Highly cross-functional—you influence without authority and drive alignment

Experience
  • Experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, or a closely related role

  • Proven ability to drive measurable outcomes (adoption, retention, expansion, or revenue impact)

  • Experience working on multi-product or platform businesses is a plus

  • Backgrounds in product ops / product / hybrid roles are welcome if paired with strong marketing instincts

How You Work
  • Owner mindset: You take accountability for outcomes, not just outputs

  • Builder: You create programs, messaging, and systems—not just strategies

  • Curious and adaptable: You can operate in ambiguity and evolve quickly

  • Collaborative: You work seamlessly across Product, Sales, CS, and Marketing

  • Execution-focused: You move fast and ship, while maintaining quality

What This Role Is Not
  • Not a pure launch PMM role

  • Not a “traffic manager” for marketing requests

  • Not limited to pre-sales or post-sales—you operate across the full journey

  • Not a people management role (this is a high-impact IC position)

Why This Role Matters at Float

Float is evolving into a multi-product platform, and success depends on how effectively customers adopt and use those products.

As a PMM, you are central to that outcome designing how our products are understood, adopted, and expanded across the customer base.

Why You Should Join
  • Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies

  • Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role

  • Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team

  • Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits

  • Hybrid work model – we are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration

  • Enjoy catered team lunches every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

  • Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office

  • Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters

In Short

At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact. We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.

We’re committed to building a workplace that’s welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you need any accommodations during the hiring process or once you join Float, just let us know! You can reach out to Vic ([email protected]), and we’ll work with you to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
