The Opportunity

As our Senior Product Manager – Edibles and Beverages, reporting to the Director, Product Management & Commercialization, you will be responsible for delivering revenue and margin plans for your categories. You will work closely with internal teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Innovation, and Operations to execute on your strategy and manage the portfolios effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the expertise to drive results in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset to bring your category plan to life.

Responsibilities  

  • Drive profitable growth with the management of category P&L

  • Accountable for category revenue and margin plans that meet business objectives.

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the category portfolio including the Go-To-Market strategy for new product launches.

  • Work closely with supporting teams such as Marketing, CMO, and Innovation to raise margins and build a healthy category portfolio.

  • Partner with our medical and recreational business teams to build our strategic product roadmap.

  • Work closely with the Integrated Business Planning (“IBP”) leaders in supporting the new product introduction component of the process. 

  • Conduct market research to assess current product performance against industry benchmarks and adjust strategy as required. 

  • Regularly report product and category portfolio performance to the Canadian Leadership Team and the Canadian business.  

  • Lead and build the category dream team of talented coworkers who will help meet business objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience   

  • Entrepreneurial skills and experience are considered an asset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management or a similar role, preferably in a regulated consumer goods industry

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and budget.

  • Experience in product lifecycle management and launching new products.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and synthesize customer and market insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
