The Adventure Ahead 🚀

As the Senior Product Engineer you play a pivotal role in guiding the software development and product engineering teams through highly complex technical challenges, requiring deep analytical and problem-solving skills. You will start with a unique blend of hands-on, high-impact development and technical leadership, evolving into a strategic orchestrator as your team grows to eliminate planning complexities and streamline cross-team communication. This isn't about just maintaining code; it’s about driving systemic efficiency, setting elite engineering standards, and transforming technical strategy into reality to fuel Docebo's growth.

The Day-to-Day 🛠️
  • Crush Complexity: Lead the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues by applying advanced knowledge and evaluating a variety of factors to determine the most effective methods and procedures.

  • Architect Innovation: Develop and implement innovative solutions to address intricate technical challenges, utilizing in-depth professional expertise and understanding of company objectives.

  • Elevate Talent: Mentor and guide team members in applying advanced concepts and techniques, fostering professional growth and ensuring the team’s work aligns with departmental goals.

  • Bridge the Disciplines: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Testing, to ensure the successful integration of different disciplines and the effective execution of projects.

  • Advise and Lead: Act as a technical advisor on complex projects, occasionally stepping in for the Engineering Manager, to ensure that technical direction is consistent with company standards and objectives.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and adapt complex models and procedures, guiding the development of new policies and ideas that enhance technical operations.

  • Own the Outcomes: Ensure that technical work is consistent with departmental objectives by applying judgment in selecting methods and evaluating outcomes.

  • Bring the Experience: Leverage 7+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience in both backend and frontend technologies.

  • Speak the Languages: Show advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript, Python, React, Angular, Node.js, and others relevant to the company’s tech stack.

  • Drive Innovation: Apply a proven track record in leading and mentoring technical teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative technical solutions.

  • Navigate the Process: Utilize a strong understanding of complex software development processes and the ability to apply and adapt advanced techniques to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Decide with Precision: Practice excellent judgment and decision-making skills in selecting and evaluating methods and procedures for achieving results.

  • Shape the Future: Direct the application of existing principles and guide the development of new policies and ideas in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.

  • Build the Foundation: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
