About Hightouch

Hightouch’s mission is to empower everyone to take action on their data. We’ve pioneered the Composable Customer Data Platform (CDP), which helps companies use their own data warehouse to collect, prepare, and activate customer data for marketing personalization and business operations. Traditionally, acting on data has required engineering time and bandwidth, and left most business users stuck with charts and reports that are unable to take automated action on their data. With Hightouch, every business user, without writing any code, can activate data to streamline critical processes, improve marketing performance, and scale operations.

Our team operates with a focus on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We believe in approaching challenges with a first principles thinking mindset, moving quickly and embracing our value of efficient execution, and treating each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members that are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.

Hundreds of companies use Hightouch, including Spotify, Ramp, Retool, NBA, Plaid, and Betterment. We’re based in San Francisco, are remote-friendly, and backed by leading investors such as Amplify Partners, ICONIQ Growth, Bain Capital Ventures, Y-Combinator, and Afore Capital.

The role

This is a unique role that will focus far more on visual craft. As our craft specialist within the product design team, you’ll work horizontally across product areas with a small team of talented engineers to enhance the look and feel of the product. Examples of what you’ll do

  • Collaborate closely with a small team of talented engineers to develop patterns across the platform and all of our products.
  • Set standards for animations, interactions, and delightful details.
  • Go deeper on accessibility than just color, text sizes, and semantic tagging. You’ll ensure tab indexes and keyboard interactions are optimized to serve all of our users.
  • Work as a brand designer within the product, enhancing the look and feel across the app to provide customers with a consistent and delightful experience.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: You’ve designed and shipped user-friendly features or applications in a technical space. Bonus points if you’ve worked on B2B data products. (4+ years)
  • High-quality craft: Finely tuned visual, UI, and interaction skills for web-based applications.
  • Team player: You exhibit kindness and humility. Seeking to understand your teammates and assuming good intentions.
  • Communication: You have good verbal and written communication skills and a passion for connecting with users.
  • Growth mindset: You’re constantly seeking opportunities to improve your craft, collaboration, and drive product outcomes.
  • Tools: You’re an expert in Figma and prototyping.

Requirements

  • Portfolio review [60m]: You’ll present 2-3 projects and tell the team the story of how you came to the solution and the challenges you faced along the way. We're looking to understand how you think, collaborate, and execute.
  • Design exercise [60m]: This is your chance to show us your design process. We’ll ask you to help us come up with a solution for a problem we’ve identified.
