We are looking for a Actuarial Pricing Analyst to join our Protection Pricing team for a 12 month Maternity Cover. This is an exciting opportunity to influence pricing strategy across a high-profile insurance portfolio, helping to shape the future of products that protect millions of homes across the UK.

You will combine commercial insight, analytical expertise and innovative thinking to solve complex business problems, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver pricing solutions that make a real difference. Whether you are coming from insurance pricing, actuarial, financial services, consulting, retail pricing, or another analytical environment, if you enjoy turning data into commercial decisions, we would love to hear from you.

Why join us?

  • Make an impact: help determine how we price, grow, and optimise products used by millions of customers across the UK.

  • Work on innovative data science problems: use the right tools for the job, including Python, SQL, Power BI, and advanced analytical techniques, to solve real commercial pricing challenges.

  • Develop your actuarial career: if you are on the actuarial path, you can benefit from actuarial study scheme support while gaining hands-on insurance pricing experience.

  • Influence senior decisions: present recommendations to pricing leaders, finance teams, commercial stakeholders, and senior executives.

  • Flexible working that works: there are no compulsory office days, giving you flexibility to work in the way that helps you perform at your best while staying connected with the team.

  • Build your career: develop expertise in pricing strategy, customer behaviour, regulatory frameworks, advanced analytics, and commercial decision-making.

What you will be doing:

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and delivering pricing strategies that balance customer value, growth, retention, and profitability.

  • Analyse customer, claims, market, and financial data to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and trends.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing models that support acquisition, renewal, and portfolio decisions.

  • Use scenario modelling, experimentation, and performance monitoring to evaluate the impact of pricing changes.

  • Translate complex data into clear, evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders across commercial, finance, product, and leadership teams.

  • Support new products, propositions, and pricing strategy development.

  • Collaborate with commercial, finance, product, data, actuarial and governance teams to deliver shared business objectives.

  • Support pricing governance, regulatory compliance, and customer outcome considerations, including Consumer Duty expectations.

  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, improved data pipelines, reusable analytical tools, and sharper performance insight.

Here’s what we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with curiosity, commercial awareness, and confidence to communicate clearly.

  • Experience in pricing, analytics, actuarial, data science, finance, consulting, or another commercial analytical role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with large datasets.

  • Advanced Excel skills and practical experience using Python, SQL, R, or similar tools.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how pricing decisions affect growth, retention, margin, and customer value.

  • Ability to explain technical analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and make recommendations.

  • A growth mindset, curiosity, and a desire to improve pricing decisions are made.
