Join our global team and help build technology that strengthens trust in financial information.

As Senior Methodology and Content Manager, you will own the methodology and content for assigned North American assurance and reporting solutions, develop it in house or procure it from third parties, and oversee its implementation into the products.

You will also advise internal teams on regulatory developments that affect product development, support customer and partner conversations on methodology and content, and contribute to how Caseware is represented externally on these matters.

The role reports to the Director, Methodology and Content.

This is a Full-time permanent position

What you will be doing:

    Methodology and Content

    • Own the methodology and content for assigned North American assurance and reporting solutions, across audit, review, compilation, and financial statement presentation and disclosure.

    • Act as an in-house subject matter expert on North American assurance and financial reporting standards, across US frameworks (PCAOB standards, AICPA GAAS, SSARS and attestation standards, SEC reporting requirements, US GAAP) and Canadian frameworks (CPA Canada Handbook, including CAS, CSRE, CSRS, ASPE, and IFRS as adopted in Canada).

    • Translate the methodology and content strategy into a plan for your solutions, and sequence it against solution priorities.

    • Recommend what methodology and content is developed, acquired, or retired, and set out the trade-offs between sourcing externally and developing in house, based on cost, control, timeline, and quality.

    • Provide the analysis behind methodology and content investment decisions in your scope, and the resourcing they require.

    Methodology Development and Sourcing

    • Develop methodology in house or procure it from third parties, according to the sourcing decision for each area.

    • Own the quality of methodology developed in house.

    • Keep methodology current as standards change, on a published cycle.

    • Maintain traceability from methodology and content to the standards and authoritative guidance it implements.

    Content Procurement and Intellectual Property

    • Source content, authoritative guidance, and standards for your solutions, across desktop and Cloud.

    • Support the Director in negotiating and managing relationships with regulatory bodies, professional accountancy organizsations, publishers, and other content suppliers.

    • Track procurement lead times so content availability does not delay solution releases.

    • Maintain the register of licensed content in your scope, covering terms, obligations, renewal dates, and permitted uses.

    • Identify IP risk before content enters a product and escalate what cannot be resolved.

    Content Implementation

    • Oversee implementation of methodology and content into your solutions, across desktop and Cloud.

    • Work with product managers and engineering to translate standards requirements into product features, functional specifications, and user workflows.

    • Manage the content release schedule and its dependencies with Product and Engineering.

    • Apply acceptance criteria and sign-off for implemented content.

    • Track and resolve content defects and gaps raised by solution teams, Professional Services, and customers.

    AI-Driven Content Development

    • Use AI-assisted workflows to shorten the time from a standards change to shipped content.

    • Apply the quality and review standard for AI-assisted content.

    • Lean forward on agentic AI in the product suite. Set the go-forward direction for where agents sit in customer workflows

    Internal Advisory

    • Advise internal teams on regulatory developments that affect product development.

    • Act as a point of reference on methodology questions from Product (including local Subject Matter Experts), Professional Services, and Sales.

    • Set out the product implications of standards changes.

    • Give Product and Engineering visibility of upcoming assurance standards, their implications, and related timings.

    Customer and Partner Support

    • Support customer and partner conversations on methodology and content matters.

    • Join customer and prospect discussions that require methodology depth.

    • Support user research, product validation, and customer feedback loops, and feed what you hear into the methodology and content plan.

    • Provide training and technical insight to sales, support, and customers on the value and proper use of Caseware's assurance and reporting solutions.

    External Representation

    • Represent Caseware to standard-setting bodies, professional accountancy organizsations, and industry bodies on methodology and content matters, as agreed with the Director.

    • Contribute to Caseware's speaking programme at industry events on methodology and content, along with assurance standards topics.

    • Contribute content and technical review to thought leadership used in marketing, customer education, and the profession.

    • Maintain relationships across the regulatory and standard-setting community.

    Collaboration and Mentoring

    • Align content requirements and priorities in consultation with the Head of US Solutions and the Head of Canadian Solutions.

    • Mentor individuals in content authoring and subject-matter expert roles.

What you will bring:

    • Professional accounting designation (US CPA, Canadian CPA, CA, or equivalent).

    • 7+ years of experience in audit or standards-setting, with time at Manager level or above in public practice or an audit-regulatored environment.

    • Deep knowledge of assurance and financial reporting standards across North American frameworks. Depth in one market with working knowledge of the other is acceptable. Familiarity with GAGAS, Uniform Guidance single audits, GASB, or Canadian public sector standards is an asset.

    • Experience developing methodology and assessing its quality, whether authored in house or sourced externally.

    • A clear view of engagement methodology, documentation standards, and what holds up under regulatory inspection and practice review, including PCAOB and CPAB.

    • Experience working with externally sourced professional content, guidance, or standards, and working knowledge of IP and licensing terms.

    • Experience implementing content into software products, or working on audit software, digital audit tools, or workflow automation projects.

    • Experience applying AI to content development, or a clear appetite to do so.

    • Excellent critical thinking skills, including the ability to safely leverage AI outputs.

    • Strong research skills, able to synthesize and interpret a wide range of information sources to deliver focused research.

    • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex audit concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize across competing demands.

    • Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of other professionals.
