Responsabilités spécifiques
- Superviser les questions liées à la conformité et aux dispositions fiscales pour le groupe canadien.
- Administrer les contrôles fiscaux des gouvernements fédéral et provinciaux.
- Répondre aux questions sur la fiscalité des unités commerciales et fournir des solutions pratiques.
- Passer en revue les allocations internes pour assurer la conformité à des fins fiscales.
- Utiliser les outils technologiques pour recueillir des données de façon efficace dans le but d’améliorer les processus.
- Appuyer des projets spéciaux afin d’optimiser l’impôt final tout en contrôlant le risque fiscal.
- Sensibiliser les unités commerciales aux questions liées à la fiscalité et communiquer les pratiques exemplaires à suivre.
- Effectuer des recherches et des analyses fiscales et surveiller le droit fiscal et les modifications à la législation.
- Superviser les tâches quotidiennes d’une équipe de subordonnés directs.
- Offrir un encadrement aux membres de l’équipe pour assurer leur croissance et leur engagement.
Exigences minimales
- Titre professionnel requis : comptable professionnel agréé (CPA).
- Au moins 7 ans d’expérience pertinente en fiscalité, y compris une expérience dans la gestion d’une équipe.
Compétences clés
- Être en mesure de travailler de façon indépendante dans une structure d’entreprise complexe.
- Une connaissance approfondie de la comptabilité fiscale est préférable.
- Le bilinguisme (anglais et français) est un atout majeur.
- Un bon esprit d’équipe et la capacité de s’adapter aux différents besoins des parties prenantes.
- D’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer : la capacité d’expliquer des concepts de fiscalité complexes au personnel général
- Des compétences organisationnelles solides et une expérience dans la gestion de projets.
- D’excellentes aptitudes à communiquer en anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit, car cette personne couvrira le Canada et sera en communication constante avec le siège social aux États-Unis.

Job Summary
This role will work closely with the Global Tax Department based in the U.S. and Canadian Tax team based in Montreal & Toronto. The position will manage a team of 1 to 2 people. Primary areas of focus will include Canadian corporate income tax compliance, tax provisions supporting US GAAP financial statements, income tax audits, and support special projects and Canadian/US tax planning.
Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee all tax compliance and tax provision matter for the Canadian group.
- Manage federal and provincial government tax audits.
- Support business units with tax queries and provide practical solutions.
- Review intercompany allocations to ensure compliance for tax purposes.
- Utilize technology tools to collect data efficiently with the goal of process improvement.
- Support special projects with a view to optimize tax outcomes while managing tax risk.
- Raise awareness of tax matters in business units and share best practices.
- Conduct tax research and analyses and monitor tax laws and legislation updates.
- Manage team of direct reports in their day-to-day work.
- Provide coaching to team members to support their growth and work engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation: CPA required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience of pertinent tax experience including experience with managing a team.
Key Competencies
- Ability to work independently in a complex corporate structure.
- Strong tax accounting knowledge is preferred.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset.
- Team player with ability to adapt to different stakeholders’ needs.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and experience managing projects.
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken as this role will cover Canada and be in constant communication with US Headquarters.
- Autonomous, good judgment, resourceful and reliable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency in TaxPrep and SAP is preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
