Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the development and training of the Field Sales Team within the assigned district to ensure adherence and alignment with company policies, procedures, and values. The role involves planning and coordinating sales initiatives to ensure that sales methods, approaches, and account development strategies are formulated and executed to capitalize on revenue opportunities and meet customer retention requirements.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the field sales team to enhance sales performance, meet goals, and achieve quotas effectively.

  • Oversees the general activity of the sales support team (FSMs, FSSSs); ensures that incoming sales rep field requests to the team are managed and delegated appropriately.

  • Monitors team performance on district objectives and branch account development.

  • Plans and coordinates work teams to effectively carry out district support functions. Uses metrics to track performance and manage workload.

  • Develops and nurtures strategic alliances with business partners. Engages in cross-functional activities to address business and personnel gaps within the designated district.

  • Identifies improvement opportunities in processes and support functions and provides necessary process training to associates.

  • Manages and supervises key customer accounts and sales support resources essential for surpassing sales targets and driving revenue growth.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of minimum experience.

  • Diploma/Certificate - Exclusive to Canada.
