The Sr Manager, EBM Technology Operations is a leadership role focused on ensuring the safety, soundness, and smooth operations of all applications across the entire EBM technology platform portfolio. A primary goal of this role is to improve the overall resiliency of our mission critical applications, minimize any potential disruptions, enabling our clients with best-in-class digital tools and capabilities when serving our customers and partners.
How you will create impact:
- Shared accountability with project teams, infrastructure and vendor partners to ensure technology currency of our applications and infrastructure.
- Accountable for assessing, planning, and executing regular application and system upgrades to ensure the safety and soundness of our platform.
- Accountable for the resiliency and smooth operation of all in-scope EBM Technology applications.
- Accountable for the development, execution, and ongoing improvements to incident management, problem management processes and their integration with enterprise, business, and vendor support processes pertaining to EBM Technology applications.
- Coordinates with Solution Designers, Vendor Partners, Development and Infrastructure teams to ensure the operational readiness, including completeness and sufficient depth of all technology design and operational documentation.
- Regularly review the criticality of applications, actively maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Accountable for envisioning, planning, implementing, and operating proactive monitoring tools and capabilities to enable early detection and early intervention of potential problems, and ensure overall resiliency of the platform.
- Accountable for designing, developing, and maintaining operational dashboards to identify operational gaps, trends, and to inform investment decisions.
- Shared accountability with business AMTB (Actively Manage The Business) partners to ensure the assessment, prioritization, and implementation of ongoing enhancements to our applications.
To join our team:
- Expert knowledge operating and/or developing large complex and heterogeneous systems and applications.
- Working knowledge of modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) tools and capabilities
- Proven experience in software development and operations in large complex shared services environment.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with fine-tuned problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and balance between competing priorities.
- Experience working with both in house teams and vendor experts.
- Project management experience would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Digital or EBM Technology would be considered an asset

Salary information
Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,000+
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
