Some of what you will do:

The Senior Manager, Creative Operations, is responsible for optimizing the operational effectiveness of the creative and production departments by overseeing project workflows, resource allocation, and creative delivery processes. This role ensures creative teams are appropriately staffed, projects are prioritized effectively, and work is delivered efficiently while maintaining high creative quality.

This position serves as the operational bridge between creative leadership, project management, marketing stakeholders and the rest of Staples enabling scalable campaign delivery and maximizing team capacity.

 

Specifically, You Will:

  • Lead the operational framework supporting creative organization, ensuring efficient creative delivery and workflow management.

  • Oversee creative and production team capacity planning, ensuring appropriate allocation of designers, writers, producers, and other creative resources.

  • Plan and manage ramp‑up and ramp‑down of campaigns, special projects, and team units, aligning the right talent and capacity to business demand for efficient execution.

  • Ensure all creative workflows through defined intake and briefing processes.

  • Partner with Marketing, Channel Partners, Merchandizing, and Creative teams to align priorities and campaign timelines.

  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities across creative and production teams.

  • Partner with Creative Director to ensure processes support creative excellence.

 

Some of what you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

  • Creative workflow management.

  • Resource allocation and forecasting.

  • Marketing campaign operations.

  • Project management methodologies.

  • Process design and optimization.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in creative operations, project management, or agency operations.

  • Experience working within creative agencies or in-house creative teams.

  • Strong background in resource management and capacity planning.

  • Experience managing large-scale marketing or creative campaigns.

 

 

Physical demands/working conditions:

  • Office environment – Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
