JOB PURPOSE

The Costco/Dollar/Value account team has a need for a Senior Key Account Manager on the Foods business. This position is responsible for managing the Foods categories at Costco & Dollar/Value, developing and executing the customer plan, and delivering profitable growth.

Reporting to the Associate Director, this position will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and communication of the customer plan, including trade investment management and application, that delivers the sales and profit targets.

WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Manage the total customer interface, ensuring ongoing development and profitable growth across the Foods categories at Costco & Dollar/Value.
  • Lead and participate in Design for Channel initiatives to develop new packs that align with Costco’s & Dollar/Value priorities through joint business planning.
  • Lead and formulate plans to obtain agreed listings, retail pricing, distribution, and product placement in Costco & Dollar/Value. Evaluate customer tactics, plan implementation, and recommendations to improve future performance.
  • Maximize sales results at the lowest cost by applying effective sales and marketing strategies, negotiating trade promotions, and demonstrating strong budget management.
  • Implement tactics developed through a shared planning process with account teams, brand, trade marketing, and supply chain; manage account spending efficiently; and deliver targets within allocated budgets.
  • Maintain excellent trade relations and customer support for our brands through effective execution of brand strategy, combined with a complete understanding of Costco’s & Dollar/Value’s unique needs and marketplace conditions.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • Previous account development or trade/consumer marketing experience within the mass, grocery, or drug trade; minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities, combined with strong financial management and analytical skills.
  • Passion for moving the business forward, with the ability to build and influence both internal and external relationships.
  • Strong PC knowledge, primarily in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment.
  • Experience working with a variety of data sources, including AC Nielsen and customer-purchased data.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $98,200-$147,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
