Position: Senior Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale applications within a complex multi-client environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating technical specifications into fully functioning, tested applications while supporting the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications.
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications.
  
• Write and/or generate code.
  
• Compile data-driven programs.
  
• Maintain applications and conduct unit testing.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during software operation.
  
• Provide technical assistance during implementations, conversions, and migrations.
  
• Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  
• Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  
• Conduct impact assessments on Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions.
  
• Review, analyze, modify, encode, test, and debug installation scripts.
  
• Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
  
• Conduct design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
  
• Develop user and system documentation as required.
  

General Qualifications

• Experience in programming, systems analysis, and software package support.
  
• Experience with structured methodologies for application design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
  
• Experience using object-oriented and/or third-generation development tools.
  
• Experience in one or more programming languages.
  
• Experience with application design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
  
• Experience using information retrieval packages and query languages.
  
• Experience with communication protocols.
  
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in team environments.
  

Technical Skills

Core Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale multi-client web applications.
  
• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Oracle or SQL databases.
  
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with REST APIs and RESTful Web Services.
  
• Experience with microservices architecture and core architecture principles.
  
• Experience developing internet-ready applications.
  
• Experience using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
  
• Experience using Azure DevOps.
  

Technical Expertise

• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL Certificates.
  
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  
• Object-oriented programming expertise, including design patterns, refactoring, and clean code practices.
  
• Experience with relational and hierarchical databases.
  
• Experience using query languages and information retrieval tools.
  
• Experience with communication protocols.
  

Oracle Experience

• Strong Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix Shell Scripting, and Oracle Data Integrator expertise.
  
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite customizations and extensions.
  
• Strong conversion experience in Accounts Receivable Collections modules.
  
• Business knowledge of:

• Collections
  
• Accounts Payable (AP)
  
• Inventory (INV)
  
• Strong understanding of Oracle E-Business table structures related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV, and FND.
  
• Knowledge of SQL tuning and partitioned tables.
  
• Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL methodologies, and OBIEE.
  
• Experience with Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) is considered an asset.
