Position: Senior IT Project Manager
Role Overview
The Project Manager will lead large‑scale, complex, high‑profile,
and high‑risk I&IT initiatives within a public‑sector environment. This
role is accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope, and on
budget while ensuring alignment with established project management frameworks,
standards, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide
end‑to‑end project management across all phases: concept, planning,
implementation, and close‑out.
- Ensure
project deliverables meet business requirements, timelines, scope, budget,
and quality expectations.
- Develop
and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and
integrated work plans.
- Monitor
and report on project progress, risks, issues, decisions, and change
requests.
- Proactively
identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate to
senior stakeholders as required.
- Lead,
coordinate, and onboard project resources, including unionized staff and
fee‑for‑service consultants.
- Resolve
resourcing, scheduling, and interpersonal conflicts while ensuring
knowledge sharing across the team.
- Establish
and participate in governance forums, including steering committees and
stakeholder groups.
- Provide
project, program, and portfolio‑level reporting to senior executive
audiences.
- Promote
adherence to standard project management methodologies, I&IT
standards, and best practices.
- Support
organizational change activities and manage resistance throughout the
project lifecycle.

- Strong
experience in organizational development, strategy development, and
business planning.
- Proven
ability to gather and document requirements and translate them into
actionable project plans.
- Demonstrated
expertise in cost control, financial forecasting, and budget
reconciliation.
- Ability
to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder environments with competing
priorities.
- Strong
leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and
results.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Extensive
I&IT project management experience across multiple technologies and
methodologies.
- Strong
understanding of CRM platforms, including system functionalities, data
structures, components, and dependencies.
- Ability
to assess technical estimates, identify technology‑related risks, and
challenge assumptions.
- Experience
managing change control, risk logs, decision logs, and project
documentation.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge
of PMI project management standards and practices.
- Understanding
of information management principles, policies, and practices.
- Awareness
of accessibility standards and related regulatory requirements.
- Experience
supporting software, hardware, and technology acquisition decisions.
- Public‑sector
I&IT project experience and familiarity with governance models.
