What You’ll Be Doing
You will be joining Infrastructure Engineering team within CIBC’s Infrastructure group as Sr. Infrastructure Engineer, Patching. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing a fully automated software patch solution which will be used to update software across an organization’s systems and applications. As an expert in IT Infrastructure, you will leverage your deep technical and business acumen, as well as leveraging all available capabilities including AI to provide valuable insights that drive automation, efficiencies, and agile transformation initiatives, ultimately enhancing our clients’ banking experience.

How You’ll Succeed
Automate to drive efficiencies – Automate and implement patch deployment solutions using the most efficient tooling in order to reduce manual efforts and eliminate redundancies.
Embrace AI driven solutions – Explore and apply AI/ML technologies to enhance patch prioritization, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection. Design Intelligent Dashboards and reporting systems that provide actionable insights into patch compliance and risk exposure.
Collaboration and leadership – Partner with platform owners, application operations and development teams, and IT leadership to align patch strategies with business needs. Mento junior engineers to promote a culture of automation, efficiency, and innovation within the Infrastructure Engineering team.
Metrics and reporting – Establish and meet KPIs for patch compliance, remediation timelines, and operational efficiency. Deliver clear, data-driven reports to IT leadership and stakeholders.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 5+ years' experience in IT Platform Engineering expertise with a view across disciplines to solve large problems. You also have proficiency in using patch management tools and software for automation and monitoring.
