We’re hiring a People Business Partner to support our technical organizations as Cohere scales through a major growth phase.

This is not a traditional “policy and process” HRBP role. We’re looking for commercially minded People partners who want to work closely with Engineering, Product, and Research leaders to build high-performing, fast-scaling technical teams inside one of the world’s leading AI companies.

Cohere is scaling quickly across a globally distributed environment with both remote employees and physical offices. We need People Business Partners who are energized by ambiguity, growth, and helping technical leaders operate at a higher level.

You’ll partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Research on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, performance, talent strategy, and team health during a period of intense scale.

This role is ideal for someone who:

You’ll work on things like:

• onboarding and employee experience

• retention and high-potential talent strategy

We’re looking for People partners who can build strong relationships, influence credibly, communicate clearly, and help technical leaders make better decisions as the company scales.

This role is best suited for someone who:

• has partnered closely with Engineering, Product, or technical organizations

• has worked in startup, scale-up, or hypergrowth environments

• understands distributed and remote-first environments

• communicates clearly and concisely

• can move fluidly between strategy and execution

• enjoys operating in fast-moving technical cultures

Note: This role can be based remotely or from one of our office locations - there is no minimum in-office requirement.
