Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver analysis that influences operational and financial decision-making. This role partners with operational leadership, performing advanced analysis and building financial models and dashboards that drive cost optimization across a large expense portfolio. What You’ll Do:
 

  • Support operational stakeholders with financial analysis, modeling, reporting, projects, and optimization recommendations; partner with senior operational leadership to develop and lead new initiatives.

  • Leverage variety of data sources to perform complex data and trend analysis relating to operations payroll and discretionary expenses; build financial models and dashboards to provide timely and accurate data that drives effective decision-making across business lines.

  • Prepare accurate budgets, forecasts and plans (Rolling Plan, Original Plan) ensuring that operational attributes and assumptions are incorporated.

  • Present accurate and insightful financial analysis to Finance and Operations leadership teams; summarize and simplify complex financial data into actionable insights for business use.

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting for Finance and/or Operations leadership, as required; consult on a variety of analytics to inform leadership on opportunities, risks, and strategy while quantifying the impacts.

  • Engage in process improvement projects that optimize efficiency between Financial and Operational stakeholders; collaborate on financial data management and practices across the TJXC Finance function to ensure accuracy and governance.

About You:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce/Economics); working towards business related designation (e.g., CPA, MBA) is an asset.

  • A minimum of four (4) years of financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, modeling & reporting experience; experience supporting Logistics, Distribution Centre, or Supply Chain operations is an asset.

  • Proven analytical & problem-solving skills including the analysis of complex information, research skills, and knowledge of database design and manipulation concepts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to adapt communication styles to suit a wide variety of audiences.

  • Ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-project environment while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Strong independent work ethic: able to drive results, accurately estimate time required to complete projects, initiative follow-up, and keep appropriate stakeholders or peers aware of progress.

  • Strong interest to pursue continuous learning, new professional challenges and enthusiasm for volunteer and/or ad-hoc projects.

  • Excellent computer skills including spreadsheet (e.g. MS Excel), knowledge of accounting software, experience with budgeting (e.g. TM1) and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).

Salary Range: $ 76,620.00-$107,268.00 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
