Reporting to the Controller, Aggregates and Asphalt, GIP is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Caledon, ON. This role will be instrumental in providing financial analysis, insights, and support to drive strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health and growth on the Aggregates and Asphalt team.

Primary Scope of Role:

  • Preparation and review of the monthly financial statements
  • Manage Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may affect the organization's financial performance.
  • Performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Collecting and compiling data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and integrity
  • Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Participate with financial planning and budgeting process
  • Collaborate on project to provide financial insight and support project objectives

Position Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Pursuing CPA designation.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Financial Analyst experience, preferably in Construction or Asphalt industry.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey financial information effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros).
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to identify potential financial risk and opportunities.

What We Offer:

  • Expected Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations.
