The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) – Financial Reporting plays a vital role in financial reporting, accounting analysis, and decision support. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and facilitating the annual external audit and technical accounting matters. Additionally, the SFA helps enhance and maintain internal controls while overseeing key reporting processes. This role collaborates closely with Accounting, FP&A, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.   

In this role you will:  

  • Support financial reporting, month-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, supporting schedules, and journal entries.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process, acting as the key liaison between the company and external auditors.
  • Assist in drafting financial statements, MD&A, and press release in compliance with IFRS.  
  • Address auditor inquiries, provide supporting documentation, and resolve audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3-4 years of experience . Experience with a Big Four Accounting Firm and public companies preferred.
  • CPA certification (completed or in progress).
  • Required two or three days in Downtown Toronto office.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel and AI skills.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is a plus.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams.

Compensation: 
 
The hiring range for this role is $85,000–$95,000 CAD annually, with final compensation thoughtfully aligned to your experience, skills, and the value you bring. At Open Farm, we know great people don’t always fit a mold, so role scope and compensation may evolve to reflect your unique strengths. This position may also include additional rewards such as performance-based bonuses and other incentives. Hybrid Work

Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.
