Job Description:

What will you work on?
The Senior Financial Analyst - Operations Finance will serve as the finance business partner providing support to the Corporate Finance and Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Operations Finance Senior Director, the person in this role will be instrumental for warehousing and transportation spend analysis and reporting, periodic financial reporting tasks, internal controls, and leading assigned Operations Finance team initiatives and projects.
How will you create impact?
 

Warehousing and Transportation spend Analysis and Reporting

  • Support Warehousing and Transportation (“W&T”) team through providing timely relevant financial information related to:
    • W&T periodic spend (including breakdown and analysis by market, plant, activity type, etc.)
    • Actual to budget, forecast, and prior period analysis
    • KPIs
    • Detail transaction report
  • Monitor the aged balances in general ledger related to W&T spend and other relevant accounts.
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment and reporting of certain transactions
  • Complete periodic accruals related to W&T
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly reports and presentations for review by various levels of management
  • In collaboration with Sr. Director, Ops Finance and Financial Planning team, Complete quarterly forecasts and annual budget
  • Support General and Administrative Expense reporting for Operational teams
  • Support the Operations team in analyzing and reporting on the customer cost to service.
  • In collaboration with the Operations team, analyze and investigate inventory adjustments, complete inventory reporting and analysis for North America
  • Support conducting physical inventories and monitoring the cycle count program.

Projects and Initiatives

  • Represent the Operations Finance team on the Company-wide strategic projects by providing insight, serving as subject matter expert, executing necessary tasks, and performing business testing
  • Lead assigned global Operations Finance team initiatives

Governance & Controls

  • Collaborate with Internal Control to develop and update SOPs
  • Ensure proper internal controls relating to operations are in place, documented, and operating effectively.
  • Work with global Operations Finance teams on aligning the processes, controls, and charts of accounts.

What are your skills and experience?

  • CPA or equivalent accounting designation is preferred
  • SAP Experience required
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced level Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas) are required. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI) is desirable.
  • Strong documentation skills to develop, maintain and sustain cradle-to-grave business processes SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
