The Impact You’ll Have

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, you will support Dentalcorp's reporting, audit, and technical accounting processes. You will work cross-functionally with finance teams, business units, and external auditors to help ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Your work will directly support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the company’s continued growth across Canada.

In This Role, You Will

  • Assist the team in the preparation of Dentalcorp's financial statements and management discussion and analysis (MD&A) in accordance with IFRS.

  • Provide hands-on support to finance team members in executing IFRS requirements, including IFRS 2 Share-based Payments, IFRS 3 Business Combinations, IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, and IFRS 16 Leases.

  • Participate in reviews with business units, corporate functions, and members of the broader finance team to help ensure financial transactions and related disclosures are complete, accurate, and well supported.

  • Assist with the audit process, including preparation of audited financial statements and note disclosures, responding to audit queries, and tracking audit status items.

  • Support the Manager, Financial Reporting with day-to-day financial reporting and ad hoc initiatives as required.

What You’ll Bring

  • University degree in accounting/finance.

  • CPA designation or actively working towards a CPA.

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience, including a combination of Big 4 public practice and industry experience.

  • Experience working as a Senior Accountant or Senior Financial Analyst in a retail or healthcare environment an asset.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with preparing financial statements and MD&A.

  • IFRS knowledge, including IFRS 2, IFRS 3, IFRS 9 and IFRS 16.

  • Experience with financial statement Workiva software an asset.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and Workday an asset.

  • Visual lease experience for IFRS 16 calculation an asset.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.

The salary range for this position is $74,000 CAD to $90,000 CAD annually. Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.

This role is 4 days on-site Monday to Thursday with Friday's work from home.  This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
