About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and multifaceted professional who can blend their functional finance experience and quantitative financial analytical skills with organizational change management (OCM) concepts to support the development of creative content to engage stakeholders across the Finance organization at Magna. This role is critical to our ongoing finance transformation project, where you will interact with both functional and technical experts in finance and IT. While this role's primary focus surrounds the communications and engagement aspects of large scale transformation initiatives, the ideal candidate will lean on his/her fundamental understanding of finance and accounting processes to support connecting core messaging and engagement activities with the key Users of various transformation workstreams. This coupled with a passion for project management work will make you the perfect fit. The Senior Financial and Communications Analyst will provide internal services which include supporting strategic planning, execution, and reporting as it relates to new technology, processes, and behaviors. Your Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Communications and Engagement
    • Support the engagement of stakeholders at all levels to foster a positive change environment across a variety of communication channels: sponsorship meetings, workshop facilitation, presentation packages, email communications, SharePoint site content, video message content pre-production coordination and other channels as required.
    • Create tailored communication strategies for different stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging.
    • Where appropriate, utilize creative content to address stakeholder concerns and highlight the benefits of financial and organizational changes.
    • Produce engaging, multimedia content that brings transparency to ongoing major project activities.
    • Execute communication and engagement plans that effectively convey project goals and changes to the organization.


  • Creative and Functional Training Content Development
    • Design and develop visual presentations, infographics, and other media to communicate key messages clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
    • Lead the pre-production, scripting, and production of video content to support organizational initiatives.
    • Utilize various creative tools to craft compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders and drive engagement.
    • Support functional subject matter experts (SMEs) in the development of functional training material in accordance to project and Magna branding guidelines.


  • Stakeholder Sentiment Analysis
    • Analyze gathered survey and/or project specific data and trends to support strategic decision-making, particularly within the context of finance transformation project execution.
    • Develop quantifiable metrics to assess and interpret survey sentiments, translating qualitative feedback into actionable insights.
    • Collaborate with functional project teams to report out and assess implications of sentiment analysis.
    • Support the evaluation of method and cadence for assessing and reporting out change readiness at various stages throughout a project.


  • Project Management
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and manage dependencies and align project deliverables with overall business objectives from a stakeholder engagement and communications perspective.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Interprets business process maps to assess change impact implications and supports mitigation activities from an OCM perspective.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications or a related field.
  • Diploma or Degree(s) in from an accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Project management certification or designation considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the functional finance and accounting role.
  • Experience with working in Automotive and technology industry preferred.


Your preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles, particularly in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficient in quantifying and analyzing survey sentiments, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication/presentation skills.
  • Skilled in layout and design, with strong attention to detail and the ability to create compelling visual presentations.
  • Some experience in multimedia content development and video production is a plus.
  • Organized, with a strategic mindset and a natural inclination for planning and executing creative tactics.
  • Flexible, adaptable team player with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
  • Solid understanding of project management approaches, with experience working on cross-functional projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools and technologies including the MS365 suite of products: Powerpoint, Excel, MS Forms, SharePoint and MS Teams and Asana.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
