The Team

Join our Pro team and start building the internet of money.

Kraken Pro team is responsible for everything to do with trading & markets, across spot & futures. Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers building the next generation of Kraken Pro’s trading interface. You’ll be responsible for the technical direction, product execution, and engineering excellence of the UI layer that powers Kraken’s most advanced user experiences.

 
The Opportunity
  • Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of performant, modular, and accessible frontend systems.

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to shape and deliver on our product roadmap.

  • Champion user experience through hands-on engagement with dogfooding, feedback loops, and usability improvements.

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration within a globally distributed team.

  • Mentor and develop engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.

  • Guide initiatives that modernize our FE stack, improve reliability, and enhance performance at scale.

 
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on frontend or full-stack development.

  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring engineers (4–8 people) in a distributed environment.

  • Deep experience with TypeScript and React, including React Native for mobile.

  • Solid understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive UI design.

  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams.

  • Passion for building delightful, high-quality user experiences in fast-moving, product-driven environments.

 
Nice to haves
  • Exposure to backend technologies such as Rust, C++, Java, or Node.js.

  • Previous experience in Trading, Crypto, and/or Fintech.
