Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the  Vice-President & General Manager (GM) Canada, and  dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will serve as the head of Finance & Operations in Canada, Country CFO, and will play a crucial role in developing and managing all financial and key operational functions for the Canadian Affiliate.  In collaboration with the Canadian leadership team, and working closely with the JPAC and Global team, they will support the development and execution of the strategy to build a successful Canadian team to enable a successful launch of RevMed and our portfolio in Canada. The role may also, where needed, support  potential expansion into the region. The incumbent will contribute to pre-launch and launch strategic and operational plans, establishment of Canada processes and policies, work with other key stakeholders on the Canadian supply chain & distribution plans, leadership and coordination of Canada finance and supply chain functions, ensuring the timely and successful launch of Daraxonrasib and subsequent portfolio products.  This role is a key member of the Canadian Leadership Team and a team player working collaboratively across functions to launch RevMed and our portfolio in Canada successfully. The role requires a strategic thinker with a team-focus, a strong background in finance, operations, and cross-functional management to support the company's growth and success.

Finance and Business Planning:

  • Oversee all Canada financial functions including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, payroll, procurement, and internal controls.

  • Collaborate with the US-based global accounting and tax teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance of the Canada/and where needed, JPAC legal entities.

  • Ensure alignment on accounting treatment for Canada contracts and agreements, to support appropriate accounting treatment, including revenue recognition.

  • Develop and manage Canadian financial strategies to support business growth and ensure financial health.

  • Collaborate with Corporate G&A functions but not limited to Accounting, FP&A, Human Resources, Legal, and IT to implement and drive process improvements in systems and processes and be ready to scale.

  • Partner with corporate Tax to ensure transfer pricing and intercompany agreements are set up appropriately as well VAT and Tax filings are supported.

  • Lead budgeting processes and financial planning activities (e.g. Long Range Plan) across Canadian market.

  • Develop and manage P&Ls for Canada and provide support as needed as potential expansion into the JPAC region advances. Oversee analysis of financial and operational results versus plan as well as investigations of significant P&L variances.

  • Support commercial teams with financial business planning, market access strategies, and pricing plans for Canadian markets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with financial and operational goals.

  • Lead financial audits for Canada.

  • Establish and lead internal control framework in collaboration with Corporate Accounting.

Operations:

  • Support the setup of the Canada commercial distribution channel in close collaboration with key stakeholders and order-to-cash activities (eg. Third party logistics Providers – 3PL).

  • Provide local operational support for international distribution and trade, inclusive of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control.

  • Support compliance with international trade regulations, including import/export laws, tariffs, and customs requirements.

  • Manage relationships with key international and Canadian based suppliers, distributors, and logistics providers.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to provide local operational support for supply chain activities until a dedicated supply chain discipline is established.

  • Support compliance with all regulatory requirements for international operations.

Corporate/Enabling Functions:

  • In partnership with corporate leaders, lead and coordinate all Canada finance related staff functions during the initial phase of Canadian operations expansion.

  • Serve as the point person from Finance point of view for Canada functions including payroll.

  • Manage local procurement and vendor management activities.

Leadership:

  • Collaborate effectively with Corporate Accounting and FP&A departments to ensure alignment and effectiveness of global finance organization.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the company's Canada growth objectives.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Financial education required. MBA/CPA/CA/CFA is preferred.

  • 10+ Years of finance experience in a public global biopharmaceutical company required.

  • Experience as a head of finance for an Canada affiliate is necessary.

  • Strategic Ability: Able to think bigger picture across different functional areas of the business and help arrive at the best decision for the overall organization. Ability to incorporate multiple perspectives and variables to analyze issues in order to reach an opinion and recommendation on best path forward along with articulation of pros and cons of different available options and proposed recommendations.

  • Business Savvy and Financial Acumen: The candidate will possess exceptional financial analytical and problem-solving skills. These skills must be balanced by sound business judgment. Hands-on, with the ability to transition from strategic thinking to tactical execution.

  • Results Orientation: The ideal candidate will be results-driven and must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The person must have the ability to deliver results and possess a strong drive to meet and exceed goals and is willing to take ownership of problems and make sound decisions. A “can-do” attitude is an absolute must.

  • Project Management: The candidate must possess the ability to actively manage the execution of projects that involve many cross-functional stakeholders. This includes providing guidance on project scope and timelines, integrating the work of multiple teams into project deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.

  • Team Leadership: Demonstrates ability to align and motivate a team to achieve objectives including financial results, timely and accurate reporting, transparency, and controls.

  • Experience with supply chain management and logistics in both a local and global context. Prior experience in dealing with a 3PL and a track record of building/selecting/negotiating an appropriate model is preferred.

  • Ability to create and nurture a strong culture of collaboration and authenticity to extend and replicate the RevMed culture.

  • Highly organized and motivated individual possessing excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Base Pay Salary Range
$196,000$245,000 CAD
