Job Summary

The Senior Director of Business Operations is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring that Equinix delivers on strategic objectives, optimizes day-to-day operations, and maintains an effective operating rhythm. This role will leverage data-driven insights to drive operational efficiency and strategic alignment while overseeing the implementation and execution of key strategic programs.  This leader will build organizational capacity, up-leveling everything they touch such that things work better even after they are no longer involved.   This role reports into the Equinix Business Operations Office, with a direct line to the VP, Operating Model.

Responsibilities

  • Operating Rhythm: Leads the Equinix rhythm of the business ensuring we are executing effectively, at pace, towards our strategy

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with  functional business operations leaders and C-Suite executives to align operational initiatives with business strategy and objectives

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with functional business operations leaders to understand their needs, gather insights, and drive collaborative solutions

  • Information Synthesis: Analyze and synthesize complex data and information to provide simple, clear and actionable recommendations and insights

  • Growth mindset:  Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business

  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the success of operational initiatives and business performance

  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts by advocating for operational excellence and fostering a continuous improvement culture

  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of key projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget

  • Communication:  Develop a consistent scaled strategic narrative, synthesizing major communication decisions between senior management and the broader organization, and ensuring strategy and priority alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

  • Proven experience in business operations, strategy, or management consulting, preferably in a leadership role

  • Masterful at working and influencing cross functionally, managing stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with C-suite leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Familiarity with technology and tools used for business operations and analytics.

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $160,000 to $273,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
