Role: Senior Designer

About the role:As one of the world’s fastest growing agencies, Inside Ideas is looking for a Senior Designer to keep visual design initiatives moving forward for some of our biggest and most innovative clients on their e-commerce team.
The Senior Designer will work remotely with our well-established, award-winning eComm team. We are looking for a Senior Designer who know how to express their ideas clearly and confidently. Our Senior Designers lead by example - creating gorgeous, ground-breaking work that solves problems. They’re ready for hands-on projects at every stage—from brainstorming creative concepts and developing original content, to participating in client presentations and ensuring deadlines are met. The Senior Designer needs to collaborate across disciplines on a daily basis, from copywriting to design to client services, all while maintaining high standards for original concepts and detailed execution.
What you will be doing:- Conceive and create compelling visual design solutions that address strategic business and brand objectives across a range of e-commerce formats
- “Hands-on” ability to own the work, be responsible and accountable from concept through production
- Develop and deliver work that elevates and strengthens our clients’ brand appeal and perception within the eComm space, demonstrated through a strong visual and typographical aesthetic
- Responsible for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices with brand/marketing clients
- Collaborate with copywriters, producers, project managers, and other creative contributors, to achieve optimal finished product
- Contribute to a culture of continual creative improvement, innovation, and design excellence
- Develop and maintain solid, collaborative relationships with agency colleagues
- BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience, strong digital design skills
- Background in eComm desirable, but not required
- Basic understanding of creative GenAI tools and appetite to drive innovation in the creative process using these tools
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including (at minimum) Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop (video/motion experience is a plus)
- Production knowledge of digital standards and requirements, basic understanding of digital development tools such as HTML5, AfterEffects
- Experience working within Adobe Acrobat for review & markups
- Ability to effectively integrate design feedback/critique into work
- Strength in working directly with clients as needed
- Good communication skills
- Proactive and independent, able to effectively time-manage projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
- Natural, respectful collaborator across all departments and functions
- Conceptual ability
- Strong visual aesthetic
- Progressive portfolio of past work
At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from CAD$80,750.00 to CAD$90,250.00 . Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
